Balik Kampung
"Balik Kampung" is always an emotional journey for most of us as it would certainly bring back fond memories of yesteryears. For an urban dweller like me, who has lost her kampung to the rapid development aka urbanisation, "balik kampung" is really a treat and something that I'd always look forward to. So, yesterday, Teacher Zila, Teacher Aida and I headed to Sg. Sireh, Tanjung Karang to Teacher Zila's hometown. For Teacher Zila, driving down the road to her home summoned the memories of her childhood and late parents. For me, it was a kinda soul-searching down-the-memory-lane journey that is worth repeating soon!
